One of the many things we are passionate about at LUCID Tea is giving back to our community. Today, we are announcing our partnership with one of our favorite local non-profit organizations: Brooklyn Heights Community Garden. To kick off what we know will be a long relationship, LUCID Tea will be donating 10% of all our sales this summer to Brooklyn Heights Community Garden.
We were introduced to Brooklyn Heights Community Garden through a volunteer outing with Nashville Feminist Collective last October. Founded by Nella “Ms. Pearl” Frierson (shown in photo above, on the left), Brooklyn Heights Community Garden has been growing strong in northeast Nashville for over 9 years. The core of its mission is to unite the residents of Brooklyn Heights, expose participants to diverse cultural experiences, and produce life-sustaining fruits and vegetables for the community.
Every tea you purchase this summer will have a direct impact on Brooklyn Heights Community Garden and their mission. We are looking forward to digging in and helping out at the garden this summer, and we hope you will join us in supporting them through your purchases. Throughout the summer we will be featuring the garden so that you, our customers, can come to love this amazing organization as much as we do.
So stock up on your favorite teas, put them over ice, and get ready for an exciting summer. And thank you for your support of LUCID Tea and Brooklyn Heights Community Garden.
